Who is Durple?

Durple is the 12th character and the 2nd melody in the Incredibox mod, Incredibox - Sprunki.

Appearance

Durple is a purple dragon Sprunki, characterized by two long, dark purple horns on top of his head and two fin-like frills on both sides. His expression is calm and unamused.

Personality

Durple is a calm character known for his serene demeanor, much like Sky. He is also the romantic type and someone who you can trust giving relationship advice. He enjoys playing and collecting trumpets and has a keen fondness for the color purple; as it is his favorite color.

In Horror Mode, his personality is rather vague, but it is possible that he became more hostile due to being abnormal.

Sound and role on stage

Durple belongs to the melodies group. Drag Durple onto one of the seven slots and the loop starts in time with the rest of the mix. Melody characters carry the tune; two or three of them together give a track its hook.

Horror version

Durple resembles his normal version in his horror form but features darker shading. He has no eyebrows, and his eyes are wide open with huge, mismatched pupils that are dilated; indicating that he has anisocoria. He maintains a blank expression until he begins to sing. His pupils are slightly mismatched, though this is very subtle and requires a closer look.

• Durple's old horror animation drew inspiration from "God" (Effect 1) from Kaybox V1, featuring Allooistika Meli.
• Durple and Raddy are not related.
  • However, they are roommates as Raddy finds Durple tolerable and kind.
  • Durple is the only Sprunki that has seen Raddy cry.
• He plays the trumpet.
  • He also enjoys collecting trumpets.
• He is NyankoBfLol’s favorite Sprunki.
• In his horror version, his skin appears stretchy and elastic.
• He has old sounds titled "tromp1_old" and "tromp2_old."
• In Horror Mode, Durple's sound is similar to that of Mr. Tree, although Durple's sound is more pronounced. The only difference is that Mr. Tree uses FLEX Plugin/General MIDI Library/Church Org. 1 with Mother 3 NEW.sf2/Pipe Organ, while Durple utilizes Mother 3 NEW.sf2/French Horns.
• He is one of the characters that have visible teeth in Horror Mode, along with Raddy, Clukr, Garnold, OWAKCX, Simon, Wenda, Pinki, Jevin.
  • Durple is the second character to have mismatched pupils in Horror Mode, following OWAKCX.
    • While OWAKCX has mismatched pupils in both modes, Durple only displays this trait in Horror Mode.
    • OWAKCX's right pupil is bigger while Durple's left pupil is bigger.
    • It is unknown if this is a vector error, or intentional.
• He has been confirmed to be a dragon, although he doesn't have many traits of a dragon.
  • He can't fly.
• Though classified as a melody, his sound aligns more with that of an effect, which is the opposite of Sky.
  • His unused normal mode audio sounds more like a melody than his final audio does.

Durple is part of the original cast, so you can play Durple in Incredibox Sprunki and in every mod that keeps the 20 originals. The horror-themed phases redraw Durple in their own style: Sprunki Phase 3, Sprunki Phase 4 and Sprunki Phase 5 each have a different take, while Sprunki Retake gives the whole cast a cinematic makeover.
